CAN YOU HELP?
Here are some of the expectations we have of Board directors.
- to attend and participate at regular Board meetings, which take place ten times a year on the third Tuesday of the month (meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. and usually last about 90 minutes)
- to participate on working ad hoc committees that are established from time to time to address certain Board activities, operational issues and partnerships
- to attend and participate in the Board's annual strategic retreat (this year's retreat took place in September at Elmhirst Resort in Keene)
- to represent the views and issues of the director's constituency group at a Board level in an effective and constructive manner (this may include representing the Local Training Board at external events and meetings)
- to adhere to the By-laws of the Corporation and standards of business ethics
As a "consensus" decision-making Board, we encourage open dialogue from all directors representing all groups of the many training and employment-related issues in our community.
