The Durham Region Local Training Board receives its core funding on an annual basis from Ontario's Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities under the Employment Ontario initiative.
Launched in November 2006, Employment Ontario today provides an integrated network of training and employment services to more than 900,000 clients in 900 locations, through more than 1,200 partner service providers.
Through Employment Ontario employers, jobseekers, newcomers, youth, persons with disabilities, and others are more easily connected to the training they need to either enter the labour force or to advance their careers.
